Resilience Centre opens & Builders honoured

The Resilience Centre, in Sderot, is a flagship project for JNF Canada and Sderot's municipality.

With over 700 attacks per year in Sderot, The Resilience Center provides much needed support for children and their families, offering therapy and emotional support, a 24/7 hotline, courses for parents to deal with child anxiety, emergency services and more. The Resilience Centre was desperately lacking important infrastructure to support the children and families - suffering from the trauma of repeated attacks - who rely on it.

Thanks to Builders from across Canada, and JNF regional fundraising, the new Resilience Center was renovated to include protective bomb shelter, expanded facilities and making the centre accessible for those with disabilities. The new centre has 8 therapeutic rooms, providing 50,000 hours of treatments per year - 140 hours per day! This expansion doubles the number of patients treated daily.

On our October 2022 mission to Israel, we honoured several Builders and JNF regions who generously gave to this project.
