Therapy Room at Keshet Centre for Special Needs

Who you will help

To be the parent of a child with medical issues, without the means to help them, is one of the most heart wrenching positions to be in. Where does a family go for financial, educational and emotional support? In Bnei Brak, the options are limited and hard to access. The number of children diagnosed with autism is increasing, and so are the appeals from exhausted parents in dire need of support. In response, the Ezra Le' Marpeh organization established a support and service center to accommodate special needs individuals of all ages and to offer much-needed relief to their families. Currently, these services are housed in a row of trailers, and proper conditions are sorely lacking. The programs continue nonetheless due to the tremendous relief they grant to parents and families. The time has come for Bnei Brak's special needs citizens and their families to receive the help they need, in a warm, welcoming and accessible center close to home. This is the dream of The Keshet Center for Special Needs.

Your donation will fund

A Therapy Room in the The new Keshet Center which will be a four-story, 8600 sq. foot facility housing a special-education daycare center, a therapy center for mainstreamed children, a vocational center, a recreation center, and a hostel offering accommodation on weekends, holidays, and school vacations. It will offer a broad spectrum of services both to local residents and residents of nearby Pardes Katz.

Location

The Keshet Center will be built in Bnei Brak, just east of Tel Aviv, on an existing property owned by the Ezra La' Marpeh organization. It will complement the Home for Life residence that already operates there (which serves Bnei Brak's older population with autism).
