Playground and Therapeutic Garden at Neve Ofer

Who you will help

The distinctive Neve Ofer House is an emergency residential home for 13 children (ages 8-17 years) who have been removed from their homes by social welfare authorities due to neglect and abuse. Led by kind-hearted house parents, the children receive therapy from professional therapists and continue to attend their current schools, minimizing disruption during an already traumatic period in their lives. Neve Ofer also offers an after-school program to 30 additional children with academic, behavioral, and emotional difficulties. Staff have identified the need for a proper outdoor recreational and therapeutic space so that children can play outdoors. The current facilities are worn and potentially dangerous.

Funds are needed to replace the basketball court and soccer field, construct a shaded therapeutic corner, including a bench and trees for the children to relax outdoors.
