Who you will help

The Shabtai Levi Home (SLH) in Haifa provides emergency and residential services for children suffering physical and emotional abuse. From its inception in 1945, this non-denominational home has been a safe haven for every family who enters through its doors. The program has been recognized as a leader in child welfare. In 2004, the first Mother/Child Unit was built offering 8 private bedrooms for mothers to live with their children in a closely supervised environment. In this unit, they can maintain a crucial bond with their children, receive parental training - many have parenting difficulties - and transition back to an independent life.

Your donation will fund

Shabtai Levi Home currently has only one outdated bomb-safe room in the basement of this 5-story facility. They are seeking funds to build additional  bomb-safe rooms on each floor of the building.

Location

Haifa remains a target for rocket attacks from Lebanon. Having adequate safe rooms is a necessity for every building in Haifa.
