Shelter for Safe Education

Who you will help

In the Eshkol region, on the border triangle of Egypt, Israel and Gaza, attacks are frequent and bring everyday life to a sudden stop. Among the many security measures families must take in times of escalation, one of the most damaging is the closure of schools. This interrupts crucial childhood development, prevents them from meaningful social interaction, and leaves children and parents isolated at home for many days at a time. For parents, this also means time they can't go to work, which further exacerbates the challenges of stability, poverty, and safety for families in the region. A safer school system is ever more needed to ensure consistent education for children in times of crisis.

Your donation will fund

With your support, the region can build a sheltered educational room - a games-filled room where children can play and socialize during a scary situation, allowing them to remain active and engaged during a school shutdown. This also provides parents with time to 'pick up the pieces' literally and figuratively - before welcoming their children back home.
